I am going on my third year of coaching at DeSoto Legacy and it has already made such a huge impact on my life. I am proud to say that I have receive my CAP II certification along with my Impact certification. I fell in love with volleyball in 2006, after unsuccessfully making the team the previous year. This fueled my fire and left me determined to put in the extra work required to become a better athlete. This leads me to my top three coaching priorities: passion for the game, 100% effort, and playing like we a family. My coaching philosophy will always be stressed: GROWTH:

God: gives the players an opportunity to play for someone and something greater than themselves
Strategy: I will always focus on building the players mental ability when playing the game
Vision: I love setting goals for the players and giving them a vision for their future.
Teamwork: I encourage players to play as a family and compete as a unit
Investment: It is very important to me that I players know that I will investment time in them and I expect them to invest time and effort as well
Hustle: 100% effort will ALWAYS be expected every time a player steps on the volleyball court
Growth: I focus on promoting a growth in my players as an athlete, student, and citizen.
I will challenge my players to be the best they can be on the court, in the classroom, and in the community all while having fun. One coach I aspire to be like is Pat Summit who said “You can’t always be the strongest or most talented or most gifted person in the room, but you can be the most competitive.
